Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D for natural gas systems
  • Produce P&IDs, isometrics, and detailed engineering drawings
  • Support design of pipelines, gas distribution systems, and related facilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, and project managers
  • Ensure designs comply with industry codes, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Review, troubleshoot, technical drawings and specifications
  • Assist in project planning, and documentation
  • Identify design issues and propose engineering solutions
  • Proficient in specification building and database administration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field)
  • 2–5+ years of experience in natural gas, oil & gas, or similar industries
  • Real fluency in development of both intelligent P&IDs and detailed 3D models in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Strong understanding of Plant 3D project setup, specifications, tagging, data consistency, and the relationship between P&IDs, 3D models, and downstream deliverables.
  • Experience with plan production, including orthographic views, sections, elevations, and both single-line and double-line isometrics.
  • Experience with part labeling, data extraction, and BOM development.
  • Familiarity with US material specifications, piping classes, and typical US drafting and deliverable standards.
  • Experience producing high-quality, production-level drawing packages rather than only model development.
  • Ability to work within an existing team structure and support the type of detailed facility design work currently performed by the current team members.
