Forklift Operator

Job Purpose The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving, staging, loading, and unloading materials throughout the warehouse facility using powered industrial trucks. This role ensures that products are stored safely, inventory records remain accurate, and production or shipping schedules are met with maximum efficiency and minimal damage. Key Responsibilities Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down counterbalance, stand-up reach, pallet jacks) to move goods safely. Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight from trailers, shipping containers, and flatbeds. Transport raw materials, work-in-progress goods, and finished products to designated storage areas, racking systems, or production lines. Assist with regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Perform mandatory pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections (checking fluids, brakes, tires, and hydraulic controls). Report any mechanical malfunctions, faulty equipment, or structural hazards to the supervisor immediately. Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, warehouse safety regulations, and proper load-capacity limits. Stack materials neatly and securely to prevent product damage or falling hazards. Job Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating a forklift within a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment. Certification: Valid, active forklift operator certification/license required (OSHA compliant).. Comfort working in environments with fluctuating temperatures (e.g., non-climate-controlled warehouses or cold storage units).
