Job Summary The Welder is responsible for the repair, maintenance, inspection, and upkeep of production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role supports equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of production equipment and machinery. Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime. Diagnose and resolve basic mechanical equipment faults. Carry out welding, cutting, drilling, and fabrication work as required. Operate tools and equipment, including angle grinders, drills, and welding machines, safely and effectively. Maintain maintenance records and report equipment issues to supervisors. Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently at all times. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. Support production operations during equipment breakdowns and maintenance activities. Qualifications Technical certificate, diploma, or relevant vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Maintenance, or a related field. Welding skills required. Ability to use angle grinders for cutting and drilling equipment. Previous maintenance or mechanical experience is an advantage.
