Financial Accountant (1 year fixed-term contract)

Your mission

Record daily accounting transactions in SAP, including supplier invoices, bank statements, and other accounting documents.

Process accounting entries related to leasing contracts.

Issue customer invoices and record transactions related to factoring activities.

Perform monthly intercompany account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, provisions, and other closing adjustments.

Support the department manager during the monthly closing process and other finance-related activities.

Assist with external audit processes, by providing financial information and responding to audit inquiries.

Monitor compliance with accounting and tax regulations relevant to the role.

This position is based in Timisoara, Romania, and offers the opportunity to work with the Finance team of Helbako GmbH in Germany; you will be part of an international finance team, collaborating closely with colleagues across different locations while supporting the accounting operations of the German entity.

This is a full-time position offered on a fixed-term contract for an initial period of 12 months. Depending on business needs and individual performance, there may be the opportunity for extension or transition to a permanent position.

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting.

Experience working with SAP.

Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.

German language skills are considered an advantage.

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international environment.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
