About The Role
Overview Labor & Delivery RN (L&D) in a teaching hospital setting. Pocatello, Idaho. Start date 08/31/2026 for a travel assignment lasting weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,064–$2,179 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. This position belongs to a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit serving a high-volume obstetric service. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,064–$2,179 per week - Shift: 3x12-hour days - Start date: 08/31/2026 - Contract duration: Weeks - Setting: Labor & Delivery unit within a teaching hospital (approximately 200–300 births per month) - Onboarding: core items/labs completed within 48 hours; orientation modules completed onsite for RN Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive labor and delivery care, including triage of obstetrical patients and management of labor progress. - Support high-risk antepartum patients and assist with high-risk deliveries; circulate and recover C-sections; perform IUPC placement/calibration and sterile vaginal exams as indicated. - Manage central lines (CVC/PICC) and administer medications such as anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate per protocol. - Implement isolation precautions and PPE procedures; document patient care in the unit’s charting system; participate in patient education for expectant parents. - Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate escalation.
