At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. ​ Job Overview The Contract Analyst III is responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial and government-related contracts to support business operations within the AD&M business unit. This role ensures contract terms align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations, while proactively identifying and mitigating risk. The position partners cross-functionally to drive effective contract execution, compliance, and lifecycle management. Job Requirements Key Responsibilities Review, draft, edit, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements and U.S. Government (USG) contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements Support contract negotiations and provide risk-based guidance to achieve balanced outcomes between legal protections and business needs Review and assess contract terms, including flowdowns (e.g., FAR/DFARS), to ensure compliance and consistency with company policies Monitor contracts and subcontracts to identify risks, gaps, trends, or potential issues; escalate findings and recommend mitigation strategies Track and manage the full contract lifecycle, including execution, amendments, renewals, extensions, terminations, and close-outs, and communicate key milestones to stakeholders Ensure contracts accurately reflect business requirements, customer specifications, and all applicable legal, regulatory, and audit obligations Maintain contract files and systems, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality) to support contract execution, approvals, and issue resolution Participate in cross-functional meetings and customer discussions to identify and resolve material contractual issues. Develop and coordinate contracting strategies for customers to support successful implementation of agreements, amendments, and pricing updates Compile and support preparation of contract exhibits, pricing documentation, and related materials Create correspondence and documentation related to contractual matters (e.g., amendments, notices, letters) Support compliance activities, audits, and reporting by identifying metrics and providing data-driven insights Educate and advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, key business risks, and contracting processes Support development and continuous improvement of contracting policies, procedures, training materials, and tools Contribute to special projects and process improvements to enhance contract management effectiveness What your background should look like Qualifications Strong understanding of commercial contracting principles and familiarity with U.S. government contracting (FAR/DFARS) Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and business risks Experience reviewing and negotiating moderately complex contracts Strong analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and exercise sound judgment Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, or a related field required 5+ years of relevant experience in contract management, legal support, or a related field Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments is strongly preferred Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and related supplements Advanced degree or legal training (e.g., JD, LLM, or equivalent) is a plus but not required Competencies Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork COMPENSATION • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $92,600 – $115,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location) • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
