About Department 472 - Reactor Plant Planning Yard The Reactor Plant Planning Yard (RPPY) provides Engineering, Design, and Logistics life cycle support to all fleet submarines, the Moored Training Ships, and the S8G Prototype. The organization maintains technical expertise for nuclear and non-nuclear propulsion plant systems and equipment. Our mission is to provide the US Navy five-star support that increases submarine Operational Availability and Capability.
