Operator I – Packaging ANSA McAL Chemicals Ltd. | Point Lisas, Trinidad ANSA McAL Chemicals Ltd. is seeking a safety-conscious, results-oriented professional to join our Operations team as an Operator I – Packaging . This role is responsible for operating packaging plant equipment in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner while maintaining quality standards, maximizing production output, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor assigned packaging equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved. Perform equipment changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted production operations. Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability by ensuring tooling, change parts, and equipment spares are properly monitored, maintained, and reported. Identify equipment issues and collaborate with supervisors and maintenance personnel to support timely troubleshooting and corrective action. Adapt quickly to changing operational priorities and support the achievement of production objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics to achieve shared business goals and foster a positive team environment. Contribute ideas and recommendations that improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and overall plant performance. Complete accurate production records, shift reports, and handovers to ensure effective communication and operational continuity between shifts. Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of work. Qualifications & Experience Three (3) CXC/O'Level subjects, including Mathematics and English. Minimum one (1) year of relevant manufacturing, production, or operations experience. Computer literate.
