About The Role The position of Regional Product Manager is responsible to ensure that the right product portfolio is available to contribute to our margin targets and enable growth. Main objective is to ensure a competitive advantages by focusing on localization and prioritizing and driving saving measures. Moreover, the position is the key contributor for EC (Coatings) projects. How You Will Do It - Strategic Marketing Projects: Lead marketing initiative for the Chinese automotive market focused on profitable and sustainable growth. Conduct market analysis, optimize technology portfolios, coordinate market launches and develop tailored product offerings - Pricing Management: Define and implement regional pricing policies, propose pricing actions, and ensure adherence to KAM Business Rules for margin management. -Strategy Development: Build regional strategies for different coatings layers, define milestones, and promote collaboration across countries. Drive implementation of layer strategies in China market - Support strategic RFQs and business growth initiatives in China - Cross functional Collaboration with Customization Lab, global /regional Product Management, Technical Project management, Supply Chain, and Key Account Managers to ensure short- and long-term growth and profitability improvements across all coatings layers - Localization - Evaluate & implement localization of raw materials and intermediates to generate cost savings or ensure sustainable supply - Define organic measures for complexity reduction and profitability improvement, e.g. introduction of local sourcing, toll manufacturing of finished goods (external or BCG), raw materials and intermediates, consolidation of RMs/intermediates/Finished goods technologies etc. - Collaborate with Labs & Key Accounts Management for Introduction and Implementation of new products and technology like Golden Gate or Low Bake What We Look For - A degree in Business Management will be an added advantage, preferably a postgraduate (Chemicals or related field) - At least 5 years’ experience in Automotive or Chemicals sector. Experience in Leading teams preferred - Knowledge of financial KPIs, with the ability to analyse P&L data and setup business cases - Knowledge in Coatings product formulations, applications, OEM specifications, raw materials and manufacturing process is preferred - Business travelling across the countries is required, primarily domestic.
