Interstate Maintenance Traffic Control Technician

We are looking to hire a dedicated and observant Interstate Maintenance/Traffic Control Technician.

To be successful in this position you should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Ultimately, a top-notch Technician should demonstrate sound knowledge of state traffic regulations, as well as have exceptional observation, organizational and problem-solving skills

We have entry level positions open.

Traffic Control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Servicing an Interstate general maintenance & incident response contract.
• Day to day activities include but are not limited to, driving TMAs & Pickups to perform the following tasks on the interstate,
• -Remove debris
• -Pothole repair
• -Cutting trees
• -Removing dead animals
• -Litter pickup
• -Working as part of a team.
• -Working in harsh weather conditions.

Incident Response

• Providing traffic control for emergency responders on the interstate 24/7.
• -Setting up shoulder/lane closures
• -Shutting down on/off ramps
• -Shutting down the interstate
• -Marking damage
• -Cutting guardrail
• On call rotation, week on, week off.
• Storm standby during adverse weather events.
• Location: Sandston Virginia near 295&64
• Must be a licensed driver for at least 3 years.
• Must have good driving record.
