Role: Head of Logistics Location: Ather Energy - Hosur Factory, Tamil Nadu Reporting to: Head - Logistics & Warehouse Team Name: Logistics & Warehouse About the Team and the Role: The Logistics & Warehouse team at Ather is responsible for managing domestic outbound vehicle and spares distribution, international trade (EXIM) execution, port operations, and real-time fleet tracking across regional hubs and dealer networks. This role is for a Head of Logistics who will lead outbound distribution velocity, manage global shipment workflows, enforce regulatory compliance, and align cross-functional operations during peak delivery periods. Responsibilities: Domestic Outbound Logistics (Finished Goods & Spares) Ensure the flawless and high-velocity distribution of scooters from our plants to the regional hubs and dealer showrooms. Manage the mission-critical fulfillment of spares, accessories, and charging infrastructure to support our retail and service ecosystem. Act as the primary anchor for Sales and Service teams, successfully absorbing month-end surges while maintaining damage-free delivery standards. EXIM (Export/Import) & Port Operations Drive the execution blueprint for our international business units and global shipment workflows. Govern relationships with CHAs and global freight partners to fast-track clearances and facilitate outbound forwarding. Vigilantly monitor port activities to eliminate demurrage penalties and prevent financial leakage. Fleet Execution & Highway Tracking Direct real-time GPS monitoring and transporter alignment to maintain total visibility across the outbound landscape. Maintain absolute systemic compliance with E-way bill regulations and governmental frameworks. Exercise strict financial discipline over premium freight usage and expedited logistics requirements. Stakeholder De-escalation & Collaboration Utilize high EQ to navigate friction with Sales leadership and dealer partners, finding collaborative resolutions during peak periods. Provide proactive visibility to the business regarding transit timelines and emerging operational risks. Experience and Qualifications Experience: 12–15+ years of core operations experience specializing in Outbound Transportation, EXIM, or Last-Mile logistics within Automotive OEMs, FMCG, or major Retail/E-commerce. Must Have Competencies Market-Facing Grit: Proven experience surviving and delivering during intense month-end/quarter-end sales spikes. You know how to push transporters to perform under pressure. EXIM Expertise: Deep understanding of Indian customs, port regulations, INCOTERMS, and international freight forwarding. Want to know more ?
