About The Role
Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Communications Manager to support our vaccine communications initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of public health, corporate reputation, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will drive the development and execution of evidence-based disease educational media campaigns that enhance public understanding of vaccine, address misinformation, and foster trust among key audiences. Key Responsibilities 1. Communications Strategy & Execution (Vaccine Communications) Support the Line Manager in designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive communication campaigns focused on vaccine related disease prevention, and immunization ecosystem. Translate complex clinical and scientific data into clear, accessible, and compelling messaging for diverse lay audiences, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, etc. Proactively monitor the external landscape (media, social listening, regulatory announcements) to identify reputational risks or opportunities and develop rapid-response communication materials. 2. Internal Stakeholder Collaboration Act as a strategic communications partner to business partners and cross-functional teams, including Legal, Compliance, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, etc. Facilitate alignment on key messaging and ensure all communications are medically accurate, compliant, and consistent with global/regional positioning. 3. External Stakeholder & Agency Management Support the day-to-day contact with external media, PR agencies, creative vendors during campaign phases. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with national/regional health journalists, science communicators, and influencers, etc. Manage external agency briefings, project timelines, and budget tracking to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of campaign assets. 4. Operational Governance, Process Management & Audit Readiness Support on the overseeing end-to-end workflow management, including project intake, approval routing (legal/medical/regulatory review), and vendor contracting. Ensure all communication materials strictly adhere to company/industry codes of practice, local regulations, and internal compliance policies. Lead internal process improvement initiatives to streamline cross-departmental workflows. Coordinate and support internal/external audits by maintaining meticulous documentation of all communication activities, approvals, and financial records. 5. Reporting & Administrative Support Prepare regular status reports, performance dashboards, and post-campaign analysis for the Line Manager and executive stakeholders. Manage the team’s operational calendar, meeting schedules, and budget reconciliation. Qualifications & Requirements Essential: Experience: Minimum of 10 years of PR experience in corporate/brand communications, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sector. Vaccine/Public Health Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of vaccine development cycles, immunization programs, or infectious disease public health policy is highly preferred. Language: Native-level fluency in Mandarin Chinese and excellent written/spoken English, with proven ability to draft and edit high-stakes communications in both languages. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with project management tools and media monitoring platforms. Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills; ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines. Preferred (Nice-to-Have): Prior experience working in a multinational matrix organization. Proven track record in managing crisis communications or vaccine communications campaigns. Familiarity with medical/regulatory review processes and audit compliance.
