About The Role
Ensure the quality of the product sent to the customer through inspection and surveillance of both product and manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Conduct regular quality checks on products and ensure that floor personnel are maintaining quality standards including, but not limited to:
- Performing start-up and last shot inspections;
- Performing accurate dimensional measurements;
- Performing visual inspections, verify acceptance to general standards;
- Conducting Statistical Process Control capability studies; entering and evaluating data;
- Establishing unique part specific visual standards;

Coordinate and ensure that administrative documentation is in place and up-to-date to ensure that highest quality standards are being reached including, but not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining the “Kit” of Green folder control plans and 100a inspection record documents, gaging, accept / reject confidence samples;
- Maintaining records of data collected and entering data in manual or computer records;
- Maintaining floor audit frequencies as specified in work instructions;
- Reviewing and filing paperwork turned into QA lab; and
- Updating quality work instructions and forms as needed.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of floor and warehouse including but not limited to
- Auditing warehouse and finished product and collect data as needed;
- Quarantining, segregating, and documenting product found to be non-conforming; and
- Notifying department supervisors with regard to findings.

Act as a liaison to shift supervisors and employees with regard to quality standards and challenges including, but not limited to:
- Communicating quality problems to shift supervisor and other employees as necessary or directed by the shift supervisor; and
- Assisting in operator training of quality requirements to promote the quality improvement process.

- Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.
- Promote the Quality Improvement Process.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
High school diploma or GED required. Equivalent previous work experience directly related to this position is not a requirement but is highly desirable.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but is required to occasionally instruct others regarding inspection and QA systems procedures.
