Position Overview The TL – US Individual Tax is responsible for preparing accurate and timely U.S. individual tax returns, including federal, state, and foreign compliance forms. The role requires strong technical knowledge of tax forms, schedules, and source documents, along with attention to detail and compliance with regulatory standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of U.S. individual tax laws and compliance. Expertise in Forms 1040, 1040NR, FBAR, FATCA, and foreign compliance forms. Understanding of international taxation, tax treaties, and transfer pricing. Proficiency in tax research and compliance review. Familiarity with tax preparation software and e-filing platforms. Leadership & Management Skills: Team handling experience (minimum 4–5 members). Ability to train and mentor new team members. Strong organizational and time management skills. Capability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Experience in managing team attrition and fostering engagement. Client Relationship & Business Development Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for client and partner interaction. Ability to handle escalations and resolve complex queries. Skill in identifying farming opportunities and upselling additional services. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide solutions. Key Success Measures Client – Client Satisfaction, Associate Retention and Attraction Financial – Reduced cost-to-serve/optimization, Profitability improvement Operational – Defined Structure, Improved Employee Value Proposition People – Higher associate engagement, lower attrition Education, Skills & Experience /CA Inter/ CA Qualified/ CPA/EA Minimum 5 years of experience Clear and effective verbal and written communication. Ability to convey ideas and information to team members. Organized with an ability to multi-task and can manage time appropriately. Strong technical and interpersonal skills . Proficient in Excel and Word (Microsoft 365 suite). Proficient in any 2 US Tax Software (CCH, Drake, Pro series, Ultra tax, Pro-connect, Geosystems RS, SurePrep Binder) Work Model 03:00 PM IST – 00:30 AM IST (Indian Summers) 04:00 PM IST – 01:30 AM IST (Indian Winters)
