About The Role

JOB PURPOSE The Strategic Planning Analyst will collect data, perform data analysis, and report on a variety of ad hoc requests related to parts inventory management. This person will help support the attainment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Purchase Orders, Fill Rate, Back Order lines, Claims Submission/Closure time, and inventory (MOS) objectives; while operating within business constraints. Creative and in-depth level analysis will be performed utilizing Excel or Access and summarized for management. They will be responsible for developing and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs) for claims processing. The Strategic Planning Analyst must utilize strong research and problem-solving background and be able to adapt to unpredictable challenges. Systems, data integrity, and process effectiveness are extremely important and this role will provide support for these areas. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES *Support Ad/Hoc requests and special projects in order to maximize organizational effectiveness related to inventory management.35% *Monitor KPI reports to ensure effective communication of performance against objectives for internal customers, external customers, and executive management.30% *Review and resolve claims in a timely manner. Work with suppliers to resolve any aged claims. Maintain accurate records for reporting all OS D claims, work closely with PDCs if there is any missing documentation.25% *Develop, review, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with Supply Team leadership on auditing adherence to SOP’s.5% *Work closely with customers and vendors to support business and improve processes. 5% KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS • Support team with reports and analysis related to inventory management on a regular basis and upon special requests • Research and resolve any OS D issues related to supply department, recommend an action plan for aging claims and maintain accurate records for reporting all OS D claims. • Create/Run queries in Data Warehouse (DW) based on requirements specified by management. • Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of short and long-term system enhancements. • Monitor KPIs and provide direction to meet objectives. WORK SCHEDULE/TRAVEL Work schedule/hours Travel 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air. MAJOR CHALLENGES AND KEY DECISIONS • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills required. • Three years of directly related experience in inventory management • Demonstrated ability to identify problems/issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and follow-up to ensure positive results is required
