About The Role

GL & Cost Accounting Analyst – Aviation

General Ledger (GL) Accounting

  • •Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • •Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in compliance with IFRS, local
  • statutory requirements, and Group accounting policies.
  • •Monitor balance sheet accounts and perform variance analysis to ensure accounting accuracy and completeness.
  • •Support statutory audits, tax reporting, and internal control compliance activities.
  • •Lead accounting assessments and implementation for new business activities, system changes, and process
  • enhancements.
  • •Provide accounting guidance and technical support for complex transactions and accounting matters.

Cost Accounting & Inventory Management

  • •Own inventory accounting and month-end costing processes for the Aviation business
  • •Coordinate periodic and annual inventory counts, ensuring inventory variances are properly investigated, approved, and recorded.
  • •Review inventory movements, stock adjustments, write-offs, and valuation to ensure accurate cost recognition and inventory records.
  • •Prepare inventory valuation reports, cost reports, and sales and stock reporting in accordance with business and Group requirements.
  • •Perform sales, margin, and profitability analyses to support financial and operational decision-making.
  • •Provide costing insights and ad hoc analyses to Finance, Controlling, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in General Ledger Accounting and/or Cost Accounting within a multinational company.
  • Experience in manufacturing, aviation, automotive parts, industrial products, or inventory-intensive environments is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent are an advantage.
