About The Role

Core Responsibilities: To Operate and monitor KOEL DG sets. 1.Position is dedicated to managing the onsite O&M contract for Data Centre customer and work in shift wise 24/7X365 days. 2.24X7 operation and maintenance of the DG sets and ensure maximum uptime. 1.Position is dedicated to managing the onsite O&M contract for (Hyderabad) Data Centre customer and work in shift wise 24/7X365 days. 2.24X7 operation and maintenance of the DG sets and ensure maximum uptime. Perform routine checks: • Fuel level, coolant level, lube oil • Battery condition • Leakages or abnormal noise • Start/stop operations as per requirement • Preventive maintenance tasks • Troubleshooting and minor repairs • Support fuel handling and replenishment • Hourly log sheet readings • Fuel consumption data • Maintain cleanliness of DG area and equipment DG Operation: • Ensure all DGs are always in auto/ready mode. • Conduct Test runs (weekly/monthly) and Load testing using load banks • Monitor fuel efficiency and performance • Load distribution and system stability • DG health parameters (oil pressure, temperature, voltage, frequency) • Emergency power transition during outages • Maintenance Execution: • Perform Preventive Maintenance as per schedule • Basic troubleshooting and escalation • Coordinate with vendor for major issues Power Continuity Management • Ensure seamless functioning during Power failures, Planned shutdowns. • Verify ATS/AMF operations Emergency Handling • Immediate response during DG breakdown, Power outages and Critical alarms • Follow escalation matrix Documentation Responsibilities • Maintain DG log sheets (hourly/daily), Maintenance checklists and Breakdown records • Shift handover notes must include System status, Ongoing issues and Pending work Safety Responsibilities • Follow Electrical safety practices, Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures • Ensure proper use of PPE (helmet, gloves, etc.) • Monitor Fuel handling safety and Fire hazards Shift Handover Protocols • Each shift must Brief next shift on: o DG status and load condition o Any alarms or abnormalities o Maintenance activities completed/pending • Ensure logs are updated and signed. Required Skills: Technical: • KOEL DG operation and troubleshooting • Basic electrical systems • Understanding of AMF/ATS panels Operational: • Log maintenance and reporting • Preventive maintenance execution Behavioural: • Discipline for shift work • Quick response in emergency • Team coordination • Engagement with customers
