About The Role
Our client is a well-established Group is looking for a Paralegal.
Job summary
The Paralegal provides comprehensive legal support to the Group and its subsidiaries, with a primary focus on contract drafting and management, litigation coordination, and legal advisory support.
Duties and responsibilities
Contract Drafting and Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure contractual arrangements are legally sound, commercially balanced, and aligned with internal policies.
- Support the management of the contract lifecycle, including tracking and organisation of key agreements.
- Be responsible for creating and updating any contract templates.
Legal Research and Analysis
- Conduct legal research across a broad range of legal areas.
- Analyse legislation, case law, and regulatory developments and provide clear, practical legal insights to internal stakeholders.
Legal Advisory Support
- Provide day-to-day legal support to internal clients across business units.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating legal risks in business operations.
- Support the Legal Department in delivering clear and pragmatic legal advice.
Litigation Management
- Maintain and update litigation registers and case tracking systems
- Coordinate with external counsel on ongoing matters.
- Review pleadings and legal correspondence.
- Ensure litigation files are complete, properly maintained, and up to date.
- Support the Legal team in dispute resolution strategies.
Compliance
- Provide support on compliance and regulatory matters as required.
- Assist in responding to regulatory requests or audits where necessary.
- Conduct sample reviews and checks where required to support compliance monitoring.
Training and Knowledge Sharing
- Assist in the preparation of legal training materials and internal guidance notes.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Legal & Compliance team.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the Head of Department as required.
- Assist with meeting coordination and document preparation.
Candidate profile
- Law degree from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a legal or paralegal role.
- Strong experience in contract drafting and litigation support.
- Strong grounding in legal concepts, court procedures, and legal research.
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate legal advice in a clear and practical manner.
- Strong organisational and case management capabilities.
- Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple matters concurrently.
- Discretion and confidentiality.
