### Accountabilities

The Systems & Controls Accountant will be responsible for driving financial systems excellence, improving automation, and ensuring accurate, compliant, and scalable accounting operations.

  • Lead the configuration, optimization, and integration of financial systems, including NetSuite and connected business platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows, reporting solutions, dashboards, and performance metrics to improve financial visibility.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, compliance, and system controls.
  • Support system maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage testing environments, including sandbox accounts, to ensure smooth deployment of system changes and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, sales operations, product, and technical teams to align processes and improve end-to-end automation.
  • Drive improvements across the financial lifecycle, including revenue operations, reporting, and accounting processes.
  • Ensure appropriate application of accounting standards and maintain strong internal controls over revenue transactions.
  • Research accounting policies, prepare technical accounting documentation, and support external audit activities.
  • Mentor finance team members and contribute to the development of scalable accounting practices.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with experience in financial systems, automation, and process improvement within a technology-driven environment.

  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and relevant accounting standards related to SaaS, software licensing, and service-based revenue models.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience working with ERP, revenue recognition, CRM, CPQ, or similar business systems, with NetSuite and Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Experience configuring, integrating, and improving financial systems and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes in multi-country, multi-currency environments.
  • Experience scaling accounting processes within high-growth organizations.
  • Ability to analyze data, understand technical systems, and collaborate effectively with software engineers or technical teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives, influence stakeholders, and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering accurate results.
  • Experience with public company reporting, software implementation, or software engineering is considered a plus.
