The
Material Handling Team Lead -
Goods Receiving & Internal
Transport
is responsible for the operational leadership of the goods receiving and internal transport team. The role ensures safe, reliable, and lean material flows from inbound logistics through internal distribution to production. This is a hands on material handling role.
A strong focus lies on leading by KPIs, ensuring target achievement, and continuously improving processes in line with Lean and Toyota Production System principles
What you’ll do
Function as a player/coach for the goods receiving and internal transport team
Organization and coordination of daily operations for
- Goods receipt including commercial and quantity inspection
- Internal material transport and distribution
- High-bay warehouse operations
- Ensure on-time and accurate material supply to assembly and manufacturing
- Define, monitor, and actively manage logistics KPIs (e.g. delivery reliability, throughput times, inventory accuracy, productivity, safety)
- Lead the team according to performance targets and standard work
- Identify deviations, initiate corrective actions, and ensure sustainable solutions
- Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean Management / TPS methods (e.g. 5S, Kaizen, standardization)
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and internal logistics standards
- Coordinate closely with production, materials planning, and warehouse management
- Support ramp-up phases and stabilize operations during volume increases
What you’ll have
- At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management leading to s
- olid operational knowledge of warehouse processes.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience with a strong track record of KPI-driven performance management.
- Hands-on expertise in Lean Logistics and Toyota Production System principles.
- Hands on forklift experience with a valid forklift license.
- Strong ERP system proficiency (e.g., Oracle or equivalent)
- Structured, analytical, and performance-oriented approach with the ability to prioritize multiple material flows
- Strong communication skills across shopfloor and management levels
- High resilience in a fast-paced, production environment and a continuous improvement focus on flow and stability

Travel
This role will require an initial trip of approximately 1 month to Jenbach, Austria for training and to establish relationships with the peers.
