**About the Role**
Bohler’s office in Melville, NY is looking for a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to real-world site design projects. As a Fall 2026 intern, you will gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering firm and understand the complete site development process, from concept to construction. By working alongside engineers, designers, and project managers, you will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
**What You’ll Do**
- Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm
- Learn the stages of the land development and site design process
- Enhance your technical skills with hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design:
- Concept plans
- Grading plans
- Stormwater management plans
- Utility system plans
- Soil erosion and sediment control plans
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to coordinate and drive projects forward
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions
- Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements

**What You’ll Bring**
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred; training provided if not yet proficient)
- Curiosity and motivation to learn within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving
