About The Role
As a Title Searcher in our Real Estate department, you will be responsible for the research and examination of real estate titles by traveling to multiple counties and via the internet.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel to assigned counties to conduct title searches and attend sales hearings
- Computer research using various programs associated to the state and county databases
- Examine documentation such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to verify factors such as property’s legal descriptions, ownership, or restrictions
- Create title reports and submit title work to requesting parties

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in paralegal work related to real estate
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to obtain Notary License in state of employment
- Ability to prioritize numerous tasks on a high-volume team
- Lives within a commutable distance to our Charlotte or Fayetteville locations for training both a new hire and periodically as needed.
Preferred Skills & Experience - These are additional skills and experience that are not required to hold this position but may provide candidates who possess them an edge over candidates who do not.
- 3-5 years of experience with title searches
- Associates in paralegal studies
- State or National Paralegal Certification
- Experience with SoftPro and Protrsust
- Active Notary License in state of employment
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. For the right candidate Hybrid work could be an option.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files (up to 15 lbs), open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
