Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Commissioning Engineer – Pipeline to support offshore and onshore pipeline projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing pre-commissioning activities including hydrotesting, pigging, flushing, dewatering, drying, nitrogen purging, and leak testing activities in compliance with project specifications and HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute pipeline pre-commissioning activities for offshore/onshore projects.
- Review project specifications, procedures, method statements, and engineering documents.
- Coordinate activities related to cleaning, gauging, flooding, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, nitrogen purging, and preservation.
- Prepare pre-commissioning procedures, work packs, technical reports, and test documentation.
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, operations, and client teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor subcontractors and vendor activities during site execution.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with HSE policies and international standards.
- Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during pre-commissioning operations.
- Maintain project schedules and provide progress updates to management.
- Ensure proper calibration and certification of testing equipment and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline pre-commissioning activities within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong experience in hydrotesting, pigging, flushing, dewatering, drying, and nitrogen purging.
- Offshore project experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards related to pipeline commissioning.
- Good understanding of HSE practices and offshore safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced project environment.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with offshore pipelines, subsea systems, and EPC projects.
- Knowledge of commissioning software and reporting systems.
- Valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET/HUET and OGUK Medical are an advantage.
