Mechanical design engineer

Job Description

The mechanical design engineer will take charge of evaluating feasibility of Industrial design, cooperate with hardware engineer for stacking design, provide innovative and economical mechanical design solutions and support for the full lifecycle of products.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the feasibility of industrial design. Provide the support of mechanical part production process.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineer finish hardware stacking design.
• Finish product mechanical design and provide support for full lifecycle of products.
• Mold development: collaborate with mold team to develop and qualify mold.
• Mechanical prat qualification: create the part number and AVL for mechanical parts. Qualify the mechanical parts, manage the status of part number and AVL of mechanical part.

Skills Required

• 2+ years of experience in electronic products mechanical design.
• Have fundamental experience in stacking design. Have knowledge of fundamental manufacturing processes for PCBA.
• Proficient in plastic molds and injection processes, familiar with the causes and solutions of injection defects.
• Proficient mechanical design software Solidworks or Creo.

Essential Skills

• Have good communication skills, and be able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Exhibit exceptional problems - solving skills, capable of analyzing complex technical problems from multiple perspectives and making sound technical decisions under pressure. Be able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage project risks.
• Have a strong passion for learning and exploring new technologies. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in mechanical design.
• Have good knowledge of plastic material and mold.

Bonus Skills

• Have 2+ years of experience in electronic product mechanical design, especially with experience in the mechanical design of POS.
• Familiar with costs related to mechanical parts and mold.
• Work experience in multinational companies.
• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical and mold design, or related majors, with preference given to graduates from top universities such as 211, 985, elite international institutions.
