Hardware Test Engineer

About The Role
Job Description
The Hardware Test Engineer will be responsible for driving the research, development, and execution of hardware testing technologies for the company's products. Working closely with R&D, quality, and project teams, this role ensures the performance and quality of our hardware throughout the full product lifecycle in an international, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on hardware testing technologies and methodologies for the company's products; evaluate and introduce advanced testing approaches, tools, and equipment to continuously improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Develop hardware test solutions, including the design and building of test platforms, fixtures, scripts, and automated test systems to support product validation.
- Plan and execute hardware tests, covering electrical characteristics, functional, performance, interface and power-related testing, and issue reproduction.
- Operate laboratory test instruments and equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators and electronic loads. Analyze test data, identify abnormalities and report issues.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, and detailed test reports; track and document defects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics, Communications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware design, validation, or testing.
- Solid knowledge of digital and analog circuit fundamentals, hardware testing principles, methodologies, and the full test lifecycle, with the ability to design and execute electrical characteristics, functional, performance, interface, and power-related testing.
- Proficient in the use of test and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
- Good English capability, CET-4 or above, with good spoken English; able to communicate effectively in meetings or project discussions.
Essential Skills
- Familiarity with hardware tools such as Cadence, LabVIEW, or Python.
- Strong project coordination skills, able to work effectively with R&D, quality, and project teams to drive testing activities to completion.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex hardware issues from multiple perspectives and use data to support conclusions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural team environment.
Bonus Skills
- Experience serving as a test representative or test leader on projects is preferred.
- Experience in designing test fixtures and the development of automated test platforms for R&D validation is preferred.
- Work experience in multinational or cross-region teams.
- Degree from a well-recognized university or international institution is a plus.
- Skilled at leveraging AI tools to improve work efficiency and productivity.
