Supplier Quality Engineer

About The Role
- Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality management systems and procedures in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality capabilities, processes, and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing departments to define supplier quality requirements and specifications for new and existing components.
- Monitor supplier performance through key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, on-time delivery, corrective action effectiveness) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and support problem-solving activities related to supplier non-conformances, utilizing tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Manage and track supplier corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to ensure timely and effective resolution of quality issues.
- Participate in new product development (NPD) projects to ensure supplier involvement in design reviews, APQP activities, and PPAP submissions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on supplier quality performance to management.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster a collaborative approach to quality improvement.
- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a similar quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the power or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, PPAP, APQP).
- Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with international suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to supplier sites as required.
