About The Role

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality management systems and procedures in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
  2. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality capabilities, processes, and compliance with specifications.
  3. Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing departments to define supplier quality requirements and specifications for new and existing components.
  4. Monitor supplier performance through key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, on-time delivery, corrective action effectiveness) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Lead and support problem-solving activities related to supplier non-conformances, utilizing tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.
  6. Manage and track supplier corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to ensure timely and effective resolution of quality issues.
  7. Participate in new product development (NPD) projects to ensure supplier involvement in design reviews, APQP activities, and PPAP submissions.
  8. Prepare and present regular reports on supplier quality performance to management.
  9. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster a collaborative approach to quality improvement.
  10. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

  12. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  13. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a similar quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the power or heavy industrial sector.
  14. Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, PPAP, APQP).
  15. Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments.
  16. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with international suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  17. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  18. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  19. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to supplier sites as required.
