HVDC C&P Engineer - Intern

About The Role

  1. You will support to HVDC Control & Protection System conceptual design from software application design perspective and will be detailed application development of HVDC Control & Protection System dedicated in one of the following areas: Automation and Digitization, Database and Server, Human Machine Interface, Station Control, Supervision and Monitoring, Operating System Localization, HVDC control and Protection.
  2. You will be involved in detailed software function implementation with specific software design tools and will be involved in conceptual design & software design documentation both for internal and external purposes.
  3. You will be involved in technical support to the hardware-in-the-loop tests of HVDC Control & Protection System (both in the company and the customer facility) from software perspective and will be involved in site installation support, commissioning, sub-system test and system test of HVDC Control & Protection System.
  4. You will be involved in technical support to Marketing and Sales from software design perspective, especially the support to the tenders.
  5. You will be involved in technical support to Customer Service from software design perspective including customer meetings, on-site fault analysis, customer trainings and maintenance outages, etc.
  6. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

  8. You hold a master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, and Automation, or a degree deemed to be equivalent, with basic knowledge.
  9. Familiar in actual coding for DSP, FPGA, DRTOS (INTime, for example), Windows, Linux or Unix.
  10. Familiar in PSCAD, Matlab, or any other simulation software available for electric power system and control system.
  11. Familiar in RTDS, Hypersim, or any other electric power system simulators.
  12. Knowledge and/or experiences in HVDC control and protection will be considered as a plus.
  13. Knowledge and/or experiences in at least of one of the following areas: Coding: C, C++, Software engineering: Frontend, backend.
  14. Experience in communication protocol: IEC61850, OPC-UA, IEC60044-8, FT3, HTML, Web Database: SQL database.
  15. Acceptance of engineering travels are preferred.
  16. Proficiency in business level in verbal and written English .
