About The Role
onsemi is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician - Thin Films. As an Equipment Maintenance Technician at onsemi’s 200mm manufacturing facility in Gresham, Oregon, you will work in a dynamic team environment and perform preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance proficiently on a variety of innovative semiconductor manufacturing tools. Each day, you will be challenged by working on a diverse set of tools with a world-class team. Shift B- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday, 7 PM -7:06 AM (15% night shift differential) On the job Conditions: Work is performed in a cleanroom environment that requires wearing a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses. May require the use of an APR (air-purifying respirator). May require the occasional use of personal protective equipment, including but not limited to aprons, heat gloves, and full-face masks. Requires standing for up to 75% of the shift Requires lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. May require work with hazardous gases, chemicals, and voltages up to 1500 Volts.
Responsibilities Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose the root cause, and make reliability improvement recommendations. Dismantle, adjust, and repair equipment in accordance with maintenance specifications and repair manuals. Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges, and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair of equipment. Drive solutions and guidelines, recommending and writing maintenance procedures and specifications. Perform scheduled tool qualifications. Vendor management and coordination. Opportunity to provide leadership to other technicians by providing training and mentoring. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Note: You must be able and willing to work Shift B- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday, 7 PM -7:06 AM (15% night shift differential) Associate/technical degree or currently working towards a degree. High-level attention to detail Methodical approach to troubleshooting and project management Good written and verbal communication skills Self-motivator; ability to work independently under general guidance and direction Ability to independently learn systems and processes associated with the role Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Experience: 2+ years of prior technician experience with Thin Films area equipment: AMAT Endura - both PVD/CVD (TxZ), AMAT Centura (HDP and DxZ), AMAT Producer (SACVD), Novellus Concept 2 (Speed, Sequel, and Altus). MS Excel and Word skills are a plus
