Technologist-Radiology Multi-Modality

Job Summary Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Routinely works in 2 or more specialties. Job Responsibilities • Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician. • Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient. • Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan. • Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines. • Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures. • Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff. • Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement. • Completes assigned goals. • Performs other duties as assigned. Specifications Experience Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Experience as obtained through completion through Radiology Technology Program Education Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Associates degree in related field. Training Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Provided upon hire Special Skills Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
