Telemetry Monitoring Tech

The Telemetry Monitor Technician provides on-going observation of cardiac monitors to the Registered Professional Nurses and doctors on the cardiac and med/surg units. The telemetry tech measures and interprets patients’ cardiac rhythms, notifies registered nurse and/or clinical team of any immediate life-threatening emergency and documents findings in the electronic medical record. Under the direction of the supervisor/designee, provides a variety of tasks that directly and indirectly support care to the adult, geriatric and, on occasion, the adolescent patients in accordance with the Division of Patient Care philosophy, policies, and procedures.
