Home Infusion Certified Community Pharmacy Technician - Full-Time - Day

Schedule Full-Time: 40 Hours/Weekly M-F: 8AM-6-PM SAT & SUN: 9AM-5PM 8-hr shifts Every 6th weekend General Summary Fills prescriptions, routine orders for medications and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and performs other related duties. Essential Functions: Assists pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels. Assists patient, taking prescription, necessary information, etc. Operates cash register. Delivers medications as needed. Submits and receives orders from suppliers. Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications. Assists with I.V. preparation and delivery. Trains other employees in day to day procedures. Participates in the performance evaluation process for Technician I and Driver. Position shares responsibility with other team members for daily delivery of patient medications to a Script Center in Mt. Gretna, PA. (Applies only to staff working at Good Samaritan Pharmacy location only; Department 43514). Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Logs all drugs delivered to pharmacy. Qualifications Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Required Work Experience: Less than 1 year Pharmacy experience. Required 1 year Pharmacy experience. Preferred Licenses: Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required Certified Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required Courses and Training: Pharmacy Technician Program.
