Volvo Group IT Business Control

The Volvo Group IT Business Control function is a finance function within Volvo Group IT. When joining our team you will get an opportunity to work with passionate colleagues and in a global context. We always strive towards providing efficient and effective business controlling to the entire Volvo Group IT organization, and we want you to share our vision! We are a global function with approx 80 people whereof 35 in Sweden. You will be part of our Business control team in Sweden.

Role mission & context

As Business controller at Volvo Group IT you will have a great opportunity to develop your professional skills as well as you can learn and grow on a personal level. Your main focus will be to support and drive our financial agenda. As a business partner your day will be full of challenges and new experiences, you work close with the business with analysis, follow-up as well as supporting business decision, consistently striving to maximize the added value in order to improve the business performance. Further on you will get to be a part of the whole process and get to ensure that closing and accounting processes are followed.

Key responsibilities

Support decision-making in providing relevant and thorough financial analysis and insights

Secure financial follow up with transparent structure and high quality

With a high degree of pro-activity, support the functions in securing that financial KPI’s are met

Together with the business develop, plan, budget, forecast and follow up all activities across the organization

Monitor savings objectives are being met and alert the functions that are responsible to take corrective actions

Follow up the accomplishment of the different business case

Perform proactive controlling and drive the cost awareness in management team in order to achieve short and long term financial targets

Perform root cause analysis within specified area

Initiate and follow up improvement actions
