Competencies for the position

University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent

Experience from and knowledge of IT development in Process and IT projects.

Strong leadership skills

Minimum 5 years of experience within product/technology or IT development,

Ability to dynamically manage scope, time, quality and delivery

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience in agile development methods

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

PDM, CAD & VPDM domain knowledge

Process and IT is of increasing strategic importance for the Volvo Group. There are great expectations that it will make us work more global, more integrated and more efficient throughout the Volvo Group and Group Trucks Technology. The P&IT function has the mission to drive process and IT strategy, development, efficiency and implementation for GTT. To meet those objectives an integrated global structure is needed, where it will be possible to drive change and improvements in a consistent way across GTT.

We are now looking for Business Consultant / Project Manager to join our global team to support the Develop Mechanical Solutions area, within the Develop Products department in this exiting journey. The position offers a stimulating and dynamic work environment, with a high-amount of interaction with colleagues throughout the Volvo Group on a global level and on-sites. The tasks and projects span cross the domains PDM, CAD & VPDM.

Main activities and responsibilities

Successful applicants will have a broad understanding of process and IT projects with an excellent track record in delivering successful projects.

When working as a Business Consultant / Project Manager Process & IT, Develop Mechanical Solutions at Group Truck Technology Process & IT you will need to be able to handle all aspects of managing a project, all the way from leading pre-studies to global rollouts while managing customer expectations and interaction.

Take active part in global business method development

Investigate and conclude on Process & IT requests

Support Product Projects in the implementation of Processes, Methods and Tools

Full responsibility for securing the project success together with Steering Committee chairman

Manage the day to day project activities to secure project objectives

In situations of obstacles for the project, the Project Manager / Business Consultant is responsible to report to the Steering Committee and to propose relevant actions

Manage the Project budget.

Collect project performance data (KPIs), analyze and propose corrective actions and improvements.

Secure that the deliverables are documented in the proper Volvo Group tools

Lead change management activities to ensure successful deployment and rollout of new processes and IT solutions
