About The Role

Royal Joinery isn't your average carpentry company. We're a full-service joinery, furniture, and fit-out specialist, equipped to handle even the most demanding high-profile projects. Our in-house workshop means you benefit from a single point of contact and unparalleled expertise, eliminating the need to deal with multiple subcontractors or outside furniture suppliers. Here at Royal Joinery, we take pride in exceptional craftsmanship. Our team comprises highly skilled and qualified experts who combine traditional techniques with cutting-edge technology to deliver sophisticated woodworking solutions across a broad spectrum of projects and industries. We focus on meticulous attention to detail and quality, ensuring your project receives the dedication it deserves.

We are looking for a skilled Joinery Production Team member to support workshop operations in cutting, assembling, finishing, and installing joinery works as per approved drawings. The role involves ensuring high-quality workmanship, following production schedules, and maintaining safety and efficiency standards to support timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting & Shop Drawings: Convert approved interior design concepts and architectural layouts into detailed, millimeter-accurate joinery shop drawings and manufacturing details.
  • Cutting List Generation: Prepare precise, manual, or software-generated material cutting lists (MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneers, laminates, hardware) detailing dimensions, grain direction, and edge-banding requirements.
  • Material Optimization: Use nesting and cutting optimization software to maximize yield from wood sheets and solid lumber, drastically reducing factory floor waste.
  • Hardware & Fitting Integration: Correctly specify and integrate hardware (hinges, sliders, locks, brackets) into drawings, ensuring appropriate tolerances and drilling holes are marked.
  • Site Coordination: Review site survey dimensions and as-built measurements to adjust production drawings before launching fabrication.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate directly with Production Supervisors, CNC Operators, and Estimators to clarify design intents and troubleshoot manufacturing constraints.
