Motor Vehicle Technician / Auto Electrician

Ashton Autos Limited is seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician with Auto Electrician skills to join our team in Oysterhaven, Co. Cork. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair a range of vehicles including routine maintenance, brakes, suspension, and engine systems
• Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including wiring, starter motors, alternators, ECUs, and onboard diagnostics
• Carry out pre-NCT checks and general vehicle inspections
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify both mechanical and electrical faults and carry out repairs to manufacturer standards
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate with customers on vehicle status
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with workshop procedures

Requirements

Relevant trade qualification and/or proven experience as a motor vehicle technician and auto electrician — candidates must be competent in both mechanical and electrical vehicle systems

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across both disciplines

Full clean driving licence

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
