WSP is currently initiating a search for a part-time Bridge Senior Technical Manager to help grow and strengthen WSP's Missouri Bridge Practice. This position is best suited for an engineer who is seeking an opportunity to work within a team-focused local office, with the resources and support of a large world-wide engineering firm. Your Impact Develop and expand client base with a focus on providing high quality structural engineering services including identifying additional business development opportunities and partnerships. Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development. Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Work as part of a cross-functional team to execute project work on multiple concurrent projects. Work with local office leadership to develop client-facing strategies for the region. Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate measurements, statistical analysis, and reporting. Perform structures-related computations and analysis. Ability to interact well with others as well as develop and manage high quality technical and professional deliverables on projects and proposals. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline. 10+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline and prior structural design experience. Professional Engineer Licensure/Certification in Missouri or ability to gain licensure through reciprocity. Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, process, and the application to project work-related issues. Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership to project team members, with strict adherence to quality control and assurance policies. Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, bridge related structural design software. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Experience with MoDOT policies, standards, and details is required. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Structural or Civil engineering.
