Automation Controls Technician - Pella, IA

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Advanced Manufacturing Automation will be a member of a highly technical engineering team focused on the development, implementation, and support of manufacturing equipment built internally or externally. This position will be expected to support both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting at all Pella locations. This position will be expected to support and develop advanced technical team members at all Pella locations. PELLA CORPORATION REQUIREMENTS: Pass drug screen Pass pre-work ability screen High school diploma or equivalency Pass pre-employment tests Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner ENVIRONMENT: Noise level requires hearing protection in designated areas Season high temperatures and humidity ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures Regular/dependable attendance required Flexibility of work hours including overtime Able to work with and around moving equipment/machines Excellent working knowledge of tools, mechanical drives/systems, electrical/hydraulic systems, and programmable controllers Provide support for Continuous Improvement activities Wire and program systems for equipment/machines Support and implementation of controls for new and/or existing machines or processes using a variety of hardware components which include PLC’s, HMI’s, CNC’s, PC’s, Robotics, motion controllers, and standard industrial controls. Promotes safety through design and actions Applies advanced computers skills such as AutoCAD, RSLogix, RSView, & Microsoft Office.
