Manufacturing Test Software Internship (Winter/Spring 2027)

Join Formlabs, a leading 3D printing company, as a Manufacturing Test Software Intern for the Winter/Spring 2026 term. In this full-time, onsite position in Somerville, MA, you will develop and maintain advanced software tools to support calibration, validation, and testing of electromechanical and robotic systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, perform hardware modifications, and analyze production lines using data science. This internship is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about software and 3D printing.

• Develop and maintain advanced software tools to support calibration, validation, and rigorous testing of electromechanical and robotic systems.
• Manage requirements and set expectations with cross-functional teams to deliver testing solutions successfully and on time.
• Own the full lifecycle of the test tools ecosystem, including design, validation, documentation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

• Ready to take features from initial concept through design and implementation
• Experienced developing applications using Python, SQL and Linux
• Strong understanding of software integration with embedded systems and engineering of complex electromechanical systems
• Experience with robotics and Linux
• Bonus: experience working in manufacturing
• Have a knack for creative solutions to difficult real world problems
