Manufacturing Technician

Job Description • Perform a wide variety of optical, electronic or electro-mechanical, mechanical measurement product assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. • Determines and or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component cleaning & installation, hand soldering, and fitting on assembly units. • Perform mechanical and optical alignment for laser tuning. • Conduct product performance testing such as functional, leakage, laser performance, and other related testing processes. • Conduct electrical testing/troubleshooting. • Recommend process improvement plan Education and Work Experience • Possess at least Diploma in Engineering or its equivalents with 2 years or more relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. • Possess experience in troubleshooting automation machines and able to read electrical drawings/schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical orders. • Experience working on a microscope, fiber splicing, optical and laser related products is an added advantage • Follow, comply and ensure good housekeeping and safety in the factory • Open to work beyond normal working hours when production volume is high Skills • Fiber splicing • ESD & soldering skills • Basic electrical & mechanical assembly • Optical components cleaning, inspection and handling Same Posting Description for Internal and External Candidates
