Platform Engineer, Specialist

Position Overview

We're looking for a talented technologist who is interested in the intersection of advertising, marketing, and technology and enjoys partnering across teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Highlights of the role:

• Partner with marketing teams and work with technologies such as OneTrust (cookie consent), Google Campaign Manager (DoubleClick), ObservePoint (tag auditing), social media platforms, and other advertising technologies.
• Provide operational, implementation, and project support to advance Vanguard's portfolio of marketing and advertising technology solutions.
• Consult on advertising measurement, technology rollouts, data strategy, and reporting.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy technology platforms that support evolving business needs, identifying opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and overall platform effectiveness.
• Provide advanced technical support for complex production environments, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across multiple platforms and technology domains.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, best practices, and documentation to support consistent and reliable platform operations.
• Evaluate technologies and vendor solutions, providing informed recommendations on new technologies, products, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage the promotion of code across development, test, and production environments, including change control documentation and post-production support.
• Build a strong understanding of business functions and requirements, working with stakeholders to identify the most appropriate technical solutions for their needs.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to more junior team members, providing guidance on processes, releases, troubleshooting, and complex technical issues.
• Support system administration and systems analysis activities, including requirements analysis, technical design, and logical and physical system design.
• Contribute technical content to project deliverables and maintain clear, accurate documentation for the team.
• Participate in special projects and other initiatives that support the continued evolution of the technology environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
