Agrometeorologist Malawi Department of Agricultural Extension Services Lilongwe NORCAP

The Department of Agricultural Extension Services (DAES) within the Malawi Ministry of Agriculture is seeking a Malawi national Agrometeorologist under the Agricultural Resilience through Climate Services (ARCS) Consortium, led by NORCAP in partnership with the Development Fund of Norway, NORCE and CMI. The position addresses a key gap in Malawi's climate services value chain: while climate forecasts and early warnings are produced by DCCMS, additional capacity is needed to translate this information into practical, localised and actionable agro-advisories for farmers. The Agrometeorologist will strengthen collaboration between DAES, DCCMS and extension services to improve the production, dissemination and use of climate information for climate-resilient agricultural decision-making and improved farmer outcomes.
