Manufacturing Engineering - Intern

DescriptionPosition Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will assist in improving manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and reducing production costs under the direction of a senior Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Support development of production workflows and process controls to ensure consistent product quality.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Assist with production line setup and changeovers as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsQualifications

Actively pursuing a BSME or equivalent
Basic skills with 3D modeling software (preferably SolidWorks)
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Self-motivated.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive motions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift to 30 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally without assistance, and up to 75 pounds with assistance, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and other required protective equipment, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with limited climate control, including exposure to seasonal heat and cold.
The work environment may include areas with forklift and truck traffic. Employees are required to follow all traffic control procedures and safety guidelines.
Compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and standards of conduct is always required.
