Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Thin Film is currently seeking applicants for a Quality Engineer responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving quality systems, inspection methods, test programs, and measurement systems to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Vishay Thin Film is located in Niagara Falls, NY. The site has a lot of natural beauty to offer including the world-famous Niagara Falls which are just a short drive away!

What you will be doing:

• Develop, maintain, and validate electrical test programs and delta programs used for product conformance testing

• Ensure test systems, fixtures, sockets, and associated hardware are capable of meeting product performance and compliance requirements

• Establish and maintain inspection, testing, and verification methods for in-process and finished products

• Analyze test data and investigate abnormal results, trends, and failures

• Support calibration, verification, and maintenance activities for laboratory and inspection equipment

• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal procedures, and applicable industry standards
• Own and manage the customer complaint and CAPA process
• Ensure timely and effective corrective and preventive actions and track effectiveness and closure of corrective actions
• Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems
• Drive proactive defect prevention through statistical methods
• Lead Measurement System Analysis (MSA) programs across manufacturing and inspection processes
• Train Engineering, quality and production personnel on proper measurement techniques
• Interface directly with customers on quality issues

• Ensure data integrity and reliability for quality decision-making
  

What you will bring along:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related technical discipline
• 4-6 years’ experience in manufacturing environment in Quality Engineering
• Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems
• Experience supporting manufacturing quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong background in SPC, MSA, and statistical quality tools
• Experience with customer complaint handling and CAPA systems
• Ability to multi-task is required

Pay Range: $85-100k annually
