About The Role

Amazon is looking for a Sr. Product Manager to lead compliance product strategy for sellers manufacturing and selling globally from China. You will own the seller compliance experience for the fastest-growing cross-border seller population on Amazon, working directly with Chinese manufacturers, testing labs, certification bodies, and logistics providers to make compliance frictionless for sellers expanding into US, EU, UK, Japan, and <beyond. You> will define and execute the product roadmap for compliance capabilities that serve China-based sellers across multiple programs: product safety testing, restricted products documentation, cross-border trade requirements, and regulatory filings. You will work backwards from seller pain points to build experiences where sellers learn their requirements once, test once, and launch globally from day one. This role is based in Shenzhen to be co-located with the seller population, the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) partner ecosystem, and the AGS (Amazon Global Selling) team.Key job responsibilitiesOwn the product roadmap for compliance capabilities serving China-origin sellers expanding to global Amazon marketplacesPartner with local TIC providers (SGS, TÜV, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, domestic Chinese labs) to build integrated testing workflows that reduce seller compliance cost and timeDefine requirements for the Forge pilot: consolidated test plans, lab connections, and pre-listing compliance guidance delivered through Seller AssistantRepresent the China seller voice in global compliance product decisions, translating on-the-ground seller friction into product requirements for Seattle-based engineering teamsWork with AGS, Cross-Border, and Global Store teams to identify compliance barriers preventing seller expansion and quantify the GMS opportunity behind eachDrive seller research through direct engagement with manufacturers in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Yiwu to validate product assumptions and test prototypesOwn metrics for China seller compliance experience: time to compliance, testing cost reduction, first-time approval rate, and cross-marketplace launch rateCoordinate with regulatory bodies and industry groups on emerging requirements (EU Digital Product Passport, GPSR, battery regulations) that disproportionately affect China-origin sellersA day in the lifeYou start the morning reviewing seller feedback from the latest Forge pilot cohort in Toys, identifying patterns in where sellers get stuck during the consolidated testing flow. By mid-morning you are meeting with a Shenzhen-based TIC partner to negotiate pre-negotiated pricing tiers for the next product category expansion. After lunch you join a weekly sync with the Seattle engineering team to review sprint progress on the Seller Assistant compliance integration, translating seller context from your field visits into prioritized requirements. Late afternoon you draft a product brief for the next China Seller Conference demo, working backwards from a seller who manufactures LED lighting and wants to sell in 9 marketplaces simultaneously. You close the day reviewing cross-border compliance data to identify which requirement gaps are blocking the most GMS for China sellers expanding to EU.About the teamAmazon Compliance Safety Services (CoSS) builds the systems and experiences that help sellers meet compliance requirements across every Amazon marketplace. Our mission is to make compliance something Amazon handles on behalf of sellers, not something sellers navigate alone. The One Compliance program is unifying the seller compliance experience across product safety, restricted products, cross-border trade, and regulatory filings into a single journey. We are building toward a world where a seller tests once and sells globally from day one. The Shenzhen role is critical because China-origin sellers represent the largest cross-border seller population on Amazon and face the most complex multi-jurisdiction compliance requirements.
