About The Role

Role: Engineer- Warranty - E&E- Customer Quality Location: IBC Knowledge Park, Bangalore/ Ather Factory, Krishnagiri, TN Reporting to: Lead Warranty E&E Team name: Quality, Customer Quality About the Team and the Role The Quality, Customer Quality team at Ather is responsible for managing customer quality operations, driving root source analysis for field failures, and aligning with key stakeholders to improve product quality and warranty management. This role is for an Engineer- Warranty - E&E- Customer Quality who will lead root source analysis and attribution for module field failures, participate in fundamental root cause analysis, review corrective actions, and update engineering documentation to improve vehicle reliability. Responsibilities Conduct Root Source Analysis (RSA) and attribution for module field failures, driving issues to closure. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities like Ishikawa and Fault Tree Analysis to identify fundamental hardware or process failure sources. Technically review proposed Containment and Corrective Actions (CAPA) to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and validated. Ensure creation and linking of technical documentation, including engineering specifications and RSA Lessons Learned documents. Experience and Qualifications ME/ M Tech/ MS /BE /B-Tech in relevant fields. 3 to 5 years of experience in product quality frameworks, quality control processes (e.g., 8D process), service operations, and warranty management (OEM experience preferred). Must Have Competencies Perform Root Source Analysis (RSA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using structured tools such as Ishikawa and Fault Tree Analysis. Validate and review technical Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) against design margins. Deploy product quality frameworks and quality control processes such as the 8D problem-solving method. Drive technical documentation and lesson-learned updates for hardware and process failures. Good to Have Competencies Utilize 2-wheeler automotive OEM quality management processes and service operations frameworks. Analyze customer quality operations data for field failure attributions and warranty management. Execute technical issue tracking and bug closure across cross-functional engineering teams.
