Infrastructure Specialist

Join Lloyds Banking Group as an Infrastructure Specialist in the Private Cloud Platform team. In this hands-on engineering role, you will design, build, and improve automated delivery capabilities for middleware services. You will collaborate with middleware domain experts and work on lifecycle activities such as provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and routine operational change. • Practical experience in a DevOps, infrastructure or platform engineering role, with a good grounding in automation and an interest in applying those skills to enterprise Middleware services
• The ability to work with technical SMEs to turn requirements and operational processes into maintainable automation
• Writing clear technical documentation, sharing knowledge and taking ownership of outcomes while seeking support when needed
• Scripting and automation experience using technologies such as Python, Bash, Salt, Ansible or PowerShell
• Good working knowledge of Git and version-controlled delivery, including branching, pull requests, peer review and configuration-as-code practices
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with an understanding of security, resilience, change and support in an enterprise environment and a willingness to learn middleware technologies
• Hands-on experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and repeatable automated deployments, using tools such as Harness, Jenkins, UCD, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Testing, solving and supporting secure automated deployments across development and production-like environments
• Monitoring and observability using tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus or Grafana
• Enterprise middleware technologies such as IBM MQ, WebSphere or IBM DataPower
• GitOps and infrastructure or configuration-as-code using tools such as Argo CD, Flux, Terraform, Ansible, Salt or Helm
• Containers and container platforms, including Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes
