Credit Officer (Mid Corporate)

Join our Mid Corporate Credit team as a Credit Officer. In this role, you will conduct independent credit assessments, liaise with various stakeholders, monitor credit exposures, and undertake market research. You will have a formal Credit Authority Delegation and will maintain records to satisfy internal and external requirements. • Conduct independent credit assessments for presentation to sanctioning officials, analyzing company information and market due diligence.
• Liaise with originators, relationship managers, and clients to shape structured credit proposals, maintaining an acceptable balance of risk and reward.
• Monitor and control credit exposures, communicating with senior Risk colleagues and sanctioners to maintain compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.

• Well-developed communication and influencing skills and are confident to challenge the status quo whilst being comfortable making and explaining your recommendations
• Demonstrate sound judgement, strong decision-making skills, good attention to detail and the ability to collaborate
• Experience in preparing credit papers for decision making by senior sanctioning officials
• Ability to balance conflicting demands whilst delivering to tight timescales
• Financial markets experience would be an advantage, but not essential
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new challenges
• Strong credit risk experience
• A strong background in credit risk and financial analysis and, ideally, experience of cashflow based lending
