Senior IT & Automation Engineer (IT & Automation)

Join Upvest as a Senior IT & Automation Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in our TechOps function. You'll be responsible for managing our core internal IT stack, user lifecycle management, and security controls. You'll also act as a trusted advisor to teams, continuously looking for ways to automate and improve processes. This is a hybrid role with flexibility in work location and a focus on personal and professional development.

• Owning and managing the core internal IT stack, including user lifecycle management and security controls.
• Actively driving automation, improving processes, and bringing emerging technologies into the organization.
• Collaborating with the Security team on AI tool governance and ensuring safe and controlled adoption.
• Proven experience building and maintaining automations using tools like Okta Workflows, n8n, Tines, Make or similar, with real examples you can speak to
• Prior experience with Okta, Google Workspace is required
• Strong understanding of macOS and Apple device management (MDM/DEP)
• Active, hands-on use of AI tools (LLMs, AI-assisted workflows, and similar) to meaningfully improve the quality and speed of your work. This is a baseline expectation, not a nice-to-have
• Demonstrated ability to think critically, challenge assumptions, prioritise high-value work, and propose better alternatives. Not just execute
• Genuinely hands-on - you're comfortable owning support end-to-end across all levels, from basic helpdesk to complex technical issues, without drawing lines around what's 'your' problem. Everything else in this role is built on top of that
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Terraform is a plus, particularly in the context of infrastructure-as-code
• Knowledge of scripting languages or our tech stack (Golang, Python, Docker, k8s) is a plus, but not a requirement
