Shipping Associate I

DescriptionShipping Associate Pay & Skill Levels: Our Shipping Associate positions are structured in two skill-based tiers, with starting pay determined by your qualifications and experience. Shipping Associates have the opportunity to advance to the next tier by developing the required skills, demonstrating proficiency, and meeting the qualifications outlined for that level. This opportunity is available on first and second shift.

1st shift hours: 8am-2:30pm, M-F

2nd shift hours: 2pm-12:30am, M-Th

Shipping Associate I - 1st shift: $26.88 - 2nd shift: $29.30

Build pallets for shipping and processing orders using hand/power tools
Piece by piece order assembly
Frequent handling of various sizes of steel components weighing up to 100 lbs
Utilize technology for processing jobs and communication (Clocking, Inventory, Job Completion, ShipHawk)
Load and unload all forms of trucking/shipping
Assist in training employees in the work center with current knowledge base
Mandatory overtime when business conditions require it
Adherence to the attendance policy
All other duties as required

Shipping Associate II - $29.30

All duties required by Shipping Associate I
Utilize technology to prioritize work autonomously

Qualifications

Experience in a similar role is required
Material handling of steel parts/components is highly preferred
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work well with others
Excellent organizational skills for maintaining inventory levels and stock management
Problem-solving skills for resolving shipping discrepancies and customer issues
Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check as a prerequisite of employment
