Director of Accounting

Join our team as the Director of Accounting, where you will lead our accounting operations and strengthen the financial foundation of the business. You will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and day-to-day accounting operations. You will also lead improvements across inventory accounting, product costing, and NetSuite transaction processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into the details, solving complex problems, and building scalable processes in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and ownership of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Oversee inventory accounting, product costing, and COGS, partnering with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy and operational processes.
• Manage and develop a small accounting team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while establishing clear priorities and maintaining high-quality work.

• Experience leading a monthly close and managing accounting team members
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Experience in a consumer products, retail, wholesale or inventory-based business
• Strong hands-on NetSuite experience
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working in a hands-on and fast-paced environment
• Strong inventory accounting and product costing experience
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with average costing, landed costs, freight, duties, returns and inventory reserves
• CPA or CMA is a plus but not required
• Experience with third-party logistics providers or warehouse systems
